The Sonic is one of the most fade-resistant discs Innova makes. It is a slow, floaty putter with a tall, thin rim and a grooved edge for thumb grip, so a light flick carries it to the basket on short putts. The shape also feels familiar to players coming from casual throw-and-catch discs, which makes it an easy first putter.
About DX plastic: DX is Innova's base plastic: affordable and grippy in all weather. It wears in with use, starting a little more overstable and gradually becoming easier to turn over.
