Buying for a school, club or council
Do you accept purchase orders?
Yes. We work with schools, camps, clubs and local councils regularly and understand how you have to buy. Email orders@flyingdiscstore.com.au or call 0475 872 416 with your PO and we'll process it. We can invoice your organisation rather than requiring card payment at checkout.
Can I get a quote before I order?
Yes, and for baskets and bulk orders you should. Freight on baskets is quoted separately, so contact us first and we'll give you a delivered price you can put in a budget submission.
Is there bulk pricing?
Yes. Volume pricing applies on discs and baskets — class sets, club stock and course builds. For baskets, project pricing starts at six and steps up again at nine and eighteen. Tell us what you need and we'll price it.
We want to build a disc golf course. Where do we start?
Six baskets or more is a facility rather than an equipment order, and it's handled with RAD Creations — Australia's specialist disc golf course development team. They cover site assessment, design, safety, installation and getting people playing once it's open.
Do you supply equipment for school programs?
Yes. Portable baskets, durable disc sets and starter packs are all suited to PE programs, and we can help with getting a program running rather than just supplying the gear.
Choosing discs
You have so many discs but I just want a regular Frisbee. Where do I begin?
If you are just looking for a standard disc or Frisbee to throw in the park or at the beach, browse our recreational discs. Discs designed specifically for man's best friend are on the dog discs page.
Discs for particular disc sports can be found under Disc Golf and Ultimate, and under Equipment you'll find baskets, bags and course gear.
What is disc golf?
Disc golf is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. It is played with similar rules to traditional golf, except players throw a flying disc from a designated tee to an elevated metal basket to complete each hole in the least number of throws.
There are many different types of golf discs designed to curve differently and to throw different distances accurately. They range from distance drivers, which are easier to throw far but harder to control, to putters, which are easier to throw straight but won't go as far.
You can find more info about disc golf here.
Which golf discs should I throw?
If you are brand new to disc golf we highly recommend a beginner pack, which has one driver, one midrange, and one putter, all in a beginner friendly weight and plastic.
Golf discs come in a number of different plastics. The premium plastics such as Star and Champion last a long time but they are more difficult for newer players to throw. Baseline plastics such as DX are easier for newer players to throw but they will wear much more quickly.
New players with less power should throw discs between 140 and 160 grams. Intermediate players will want discs between 150 and 170 grams, and advanced players typically throw discs 170 grams and up.
Orders, shipping and stock
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. The Flying Disc Store can post orders to customers almost everywhere in the world. All international orders ship via Australia Post, with tracking included. Rates by destination and weight are on our Shipping & Delivery page.
How long will my order take to arrive?
We try to process orders as they come in. See our Shipping & Delivery page for delivery estimates by state.
Can I pick my order up instead?
Yes, and it's free. Choose Pickup at checkout and collect from Werribee South, in Melbourne's west.
Orders are usually ready within 24 hours. We'll send you the collection address and let you know when yours is ready — please don't travel to us before that notification arrives.
Collection is by appointment. Our usual pickup window is 1pm to 5pm on weekdays, but we can almost always work around you — evenings and weekends included. Text or call 0475 872 416 and we'll lock in a time that suits.
Has my order been shipped yet?
You should receive an automatic email from Australia Post when your order has been despatched. If you have not received it, please check your spam or junk mail folder before contacting us.
How do I track my order?
You can track all shipments with Australia Post at auspost.com.au/mypost/track/search.
Can I return something?
Yes — within 30 days, in original unused condition. Full details on our Returns & Refunds page. Email us first so we can match your parcel to your order.
Is a product in stock?
We are proud to offer our customers all of our discs by plastic and weight class. Please use the drop down menus on the product page to see what is available. Every item that you can select and add to cart should be in stock bearing any unforeseen circumstances.
When is a product coming back in stock?
We do our best to keep as much in stock as possible and place frequent orders accordingly. However, sometimes the manufacturers don't have every product in stock. Also, disc golf manufacturers do not allow retailers to order exact weight and colour, only a weight range. If you would like a very specific weight and colour disc please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Why doesn't my disc look like the one pictured on the website?
Disc manufacturers change the hot stamps and logos on their discs very frequently. While every effort has been made to show the appropriate hot stamps and logos, it is possible that the graphics on your disc may look slightly different than what is pictured.
When it comes to colour, golf discs are manufactured in a near infinite amount of colours and it would be impossible to picture the exact colour of each disc available. The colour of the disc shown does not necessarily represent the colour of the disc you are purchasing. Please select your colour preferences in the drop down menu and we will do the best we can to fulfil your preferences.
What size clothing should I order?
Most of our clothing runs pretty true to size, meaning if you are normally a medium, order a medium.
Flexfit hats sizing: S/M fits 6 ¾" to 7 ¼" and L/XL fits 7 1/8" to 7 5/8"
